Focus Scripture:
Hebrews 11:8 – “By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.”
Overview
God often calls us to places we’ve never been, to do things we’ve never done. And He rarely gives us the full map. Why? Because walking with God isn’t about playing it safe—it’s about learning to venture up. Faith requires movement, even when the destination is unclear.
To Venture Up means stepping out in bold obedience, trusting that if God is calling you, He will guide you. It’s a call to rise above fear, comfort zones, and excuses—and move forward into divine assignments. The unknown may look intimidating, but your confidence is not in the path—it’s in the One who leads you.
Venture Up Requires Courage Over Comfort
God will often stretch you beyond what’s easy to grow you into what’s eternal.
- Faith doesn’t wait for all the answers—it obeys at the first word.
- Your comfort zone may feel safe, but it’s rarely fruitful.
- God meets us in motion, not stagnation. (Exodus 14:15)
- Growth lives on the other side of “yes, Lord.”
Venture Up Activates God’s Promises
Abraham received an inheritance because he obeyed the call to venture. God’s promises are often tied to movement.
- Obedience positions you to receive. (Deuteronomy 28:1–2)
- When you move in faith, heaven moves with you.
- God’s provision is often waiting at the next step—not the starting point.
- Faith without movement is faith without muscle. (James 2:17)
Venture Up Impacts Others Around You
Your decision to venture in faith affects more than just you—it can change families, churches, and generations.
- Abraham’s obedience birthed a nation.
- Your risk may be someone else’s rescue.
- When you rise, you inspire others to rise with you.
- God gets the glory when we go where only He can lead.
Conclusion
The voice of the Lord is calling—“Venture Up.” It may not all make sense. It may not all be mapped out. But it will be worth it. God doesn’t call the comfortable—He calls the courageous. He doesn’t need your perfection—just your obedience. Step out. Move forward. Say yes. Because when you venture up, you rise into purpose.
Action
- Ask the Lord to show you the next step He’s calling you to take. Then take it, even if it stretches you.
- Write down an area where fear has held you back. Pray bold faith over that space and declare: “I will venture up in faith, not shrink back in fear.”
